Beth O’Brien – Chief Revenue Officer

The Ad Network was founded in May 2008 by Beth O’Brien, formerly the Director of Business Development at Macquarie Network, Head of Business & Partner Development at ninemsn, Manager Optus Interactive TV, Optus Mobile and News Digital Media/News Ltd (formerly News Interactive). Beth was also a finalist in the Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year in 2002.

The Ad Network was born out of a passion for new media technology and the role of digital media in shaping the lives of consumers, which ultimately drives the need for innovative marketing and business strategies. Over the past 15 years, The Ad Networks Management team have worked with numerous blue chip clients, and gained extensive experience in the leaders of the global online media industry.

Melissa’s career began with the birth of the internet in the U.S., where she was employed as a web developer and designer at Skunk Technologies, a software development company developing online applications in Java before it was a globally accepted programming language. Melissa continued her career at eToys.com based in Santa Monica, CA – the first exclusively online toy company in the U.S., rivalling toy industry behemith, Toys R Us.

Following the dot com crash in the early 2000’s, Melissa migrated to Australia and began working as a Business Development Manager in the IT industry, selling custom online business systems, such as conference booking systems and wealth management systems to the likes of Crown Casino and Commonwealth Bank.

In 2005, Melissa commenced her media career with Realestate.com.au, and led the media sales team to notable accomplishments such as a seven-figure media partnership with Westpac Banking Group, the largest media deal of its time. Throughout her career, Melissa’s focus and passion has always centered around utilising digital technology and media platforms to solve business problems and deliver innovation and efficiency. She continues this work in her role at REAN/On The House, as Head of Media Sales & Strategy.

Ben Pullicin – National Sales Director

Ben Pullicin joined The Ad Network in February 2009 to run sales and traffic operations nationally. Ben formerly held a senior sales position with News Digital Media and managed advertising accounts including Commonwealth Bank and Vodafone. Ben has also worked with Starcom Mediavest Group where he worked in digital strategy across the Sony Group and Subaru accounts. Ben has excellent rich media technical experience and was a foundation team member of Media Mind (formerly Eyeblaster Inc) in Asia Pacific running the account management team. Ben also holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Macquarie University Sydney.
